We're in private beta and aiming for public launch in the next few months. Waitlist members get access first.
Both. FitNav is built on React Native and will ship to the App Store and Google Play simultaneously. iPad is supported too.
Self-coached people who train regularly and are working a cut, recomp, or specific body-composition goal. If you've used MyFitnessPal but bounced off the tedium, used MacroFactor but found it lacks coaching, or considered a personal coach but balked at the price — FitNav is built for you.
FitNav is the app; Kai is the AI coach you talk to inside it. Everything in FitNav — logging meals, building your training plan, adjusting your targets — happens through your conversation with Kai.
Yes. Tell Kai how many days you can train, what equipment you have, your experience and any injuries, and it builds a weekly plan. You log each set as you lift, and FitNav works out your next load and rep target from your history. You can swap an exercise, shorten a session when you're short on time, or start a deload week — and Kai only changes your plan after you say yes.
MyFitnessPal is a database with forms. Cal AI is a calorie scanner. MacroFactor has great target math but no coaching. FitNav connects training and nutrition into one conversation — it knows today is leg day, knows what you ate, and answers "what should I have for dinner?" with the right call for your day. Plus it gets smarter the longer you use it, adjusting targets from your real logged data instead of a static formula.
No. Just say what you ate — "chicken bowl from Chipotle," "two eggs on toast," "12oz cold brew." Kai parses it, looks up macros, and logs it. Or snap a photo of your plate and Kai identifies everything.
$9.99 a month. That's it — one tier, everything included. For context: a real personal trainer is $50–$150 per session, a nutrition coach is $200–$500/month. FitNav is a tenth of that, in your pocket, 24/7.
Yes — 14 days, no card required to join the waitlist. Try it against a real cut or recomp goal and decide for yourself.
Running a real AI coach costs real money — model calls, vision, hosting. We could charge $4.99 and run on fumes, but we'd rather charge enough to actually invest in the product (and avoid the ads-or-data-sold trap). It's still less than one fast-food meal per month.
Yes. Cancel from your app store account and you keep FitNav until the end of the billing period. No surprise charges.
No. FitNav gives general nutrition and fitness information for healthy adults. It is not a replacement for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or licensed trainer. See our disclaimer.
Your profile (goal, weight, preferences), your meal & workout logs, and your conversations with Kai. We use this to power the coaching — nothing else. We don't sell data, don't show ads, and don't share with third parties beyond the model providers we use to run FitNav. See the privacy policy.
FitNav is not designed for clinical eating-disorder treatment. If you have a history of disordered eating, please consult a qualified professional before using any calorie-tracking app, including FitNav.
Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app, or by emailing privacy@fitnav.ai.
FitNav runs on OpenAI's GPT-4o family hosted in Azure AI Foundry, plus Whisper for voice transcription once voice input launches. Routine messages use GPT-4o-mini for speed and cost; vision and complex reasoning use the full GPT-4o.
Estimates. Kai uses the USDA food database where it can and the LLM's nutrition knowledge where it can't. Real-world variance (cooking method, portion misjudgment, hidden ingredients) means treat any single meal as ±15%. Over weeks, the average is what matters and Kai adjusts to your real trend.
You can view your previous conversations and totals offline. New logging and coaching requires an internet connection because it talks to the AI.
